I'm seriously thinking about doing beadles about as a remake over the next few years if I can apply for funding if I do get this done I need some very funny ideas for wind ups to do on the suspecting public over to u people....
Gambol has a ****ed up spazo hand so get him dressed up as an Imigration officer in Whitechapel. Great plan Jono.
Dig Beadle up (think he's in Highgate Cemetery?) and wheel him about standing up in his box. Invite members of the public to try and decapitate his corpse with old LPs, Sean Of The Dead style, then while they're concentrating on that, pour creosote over the unsuspecting punter's cars.
There is still a signed photograph of Beadle in my local barbers. I haven't the heart to tell them he is dead or that they should be ashamed of themselves if he came in there for a haircut because he looked like a gypsy horse thief with a gimpy hand.
How about calling yourself something like......I don't know.....Dom.. Dom...........Jolly something really random like that. Then getting some props. Random stuff again, like....a giant phone and.......maybe, a stuffed dog. Crazy stuff like that. Then just go round, filming yourself doing really bizarre **** with them, and set it all to music. Reckon that could work
Leave a pair of gloves on a train seat. Film the social awkwardness that ensues when members of the public are unable to deal with this simple situation.
Did you know that the guy from Candid Camera was involved in a real-life plane hijacking in 1969? Some guy at the back of the plane puts a knife to a stewardess's throat, marches her to the front of the plane, gains access to the cockpit and demands to be flown to Cuba. The other passengers are momentarily stunned, but then a woman spots the guy from Candid Camera. The word quickly goes round and everyone starts clapping and laughing. The guy from Candid Camera is mortified. He tries to tell them that this is real, but no one's having it. The hijacker puts his head round the cockpit door to find out what's going on and everyone starts whooping and hollering. It's not till they're being led off the plane in Havana that they finally accept it wasn't all a big joke.
