Be weary of youtube scouting

    Since the end of the season we've all been digging out youtube vids of who we want to sign, but I dont think a decent youtube compilation proves anything as you can make one for virtually any striker.

    For example look at this video of Afonso Alves

    Looks awsome in this video and had a great scoring record in the Dutch league, if he hadn't gone to boro a few years a ago I'm sure there would be some shouts to sign him up.
    At the end of the day he cost 12m and was a complete flop, now playing in Quatar.
    I think that the best idea is to stick to proven prem strikers e.g Sturridge and Ba, rather than youtube sensations!

    we can't sack youtube as a scout that would leave us with only football manager and fifa 11 besides everyone knows if they have a youtube compilation they're a must sign

    I don't think they did which is why they have so much money problems now. Their parachute payments run out after this year, so if they dont go up then theyre pretty much screwed.

    Wow, this is news to me - I thought it'd be a surefire winner to use YouTube <whistle>

    Although we can't dismiss all strikers from the likes of the Dutch league....a certain van Nistelrooy & van Persie haven't done bad and I'm sure Suarez will be one the best players in the league next season.
