....that was the quote from Mathew Etherington in response to fans demanding Pulis to be sacked. But never in anyones wildest dreams did people think he would be proven so right.

I initially criticised your fans for their hatred towards TP given all he's achieved, but still eventually agreed that a change was required. However, words cannot justify how poor a manager you have now appointed. Mark Hughes is genuinely a horrible individual and a shocking football manager with absolutely zero positive points. He tore QPR apart almost single-handedly by insisting on purchases such as Boswinga and many more. He is brutally arrogant and refuses to listen to others around him. He sacked players of heroic status at the club i.e Paddy Kenny, Heidar Helguson, Akos Buzsaky etc, and replaced them with awful people with egos equally as large as his own. He even had the nerve to freeze players like Clint Hill and Shaun Derry, who have the desire and commitment required to help a club stay in the PL, out of the first 11. He created such a poisonous atmosphere, that may remain at the club for years to come, by offering huge long term contracts to selfish individuals who would rather sit on the bench and collect their wages than fight for any cause. He is by far the most tactically inept football manager i've ever seen (and we've seen a lot at QPR) and the style of football he plays is in no way shape or form attractive.

The worst thing is that you are in a similar position to where we were last year, you have by PL standards a pretty weak squad that needs rebuilding, and unfortunately for you, you picked the perfect man to fu*k it completely up. No doubt he and his disgusting agent Kia Jorabichian are already working on bringing another lot of pathetic losers like the ones at my club to Stoke.

Some of you will comment saying hes better than Pulis etc etc. But please, let me confirm to you that this is simply not the case, he is easily the biggest scheister in the game who lives on his reputation as a good player. How hes wormed his way into another club is beyond me especially when theres people like Di Matteo, who have won stuff, on the market.

Prepare yourself for the worst season of your lives, this isnt a WUM, I'm just telling you the honest truth. I could sit here all day ranting about how terrible a person he is and how he wasted the money of many season ticket holders like myself by condemning us to relegation by November. If QPR does collapse, it will be his fault. I hope the same doesnt happen to you, but i wont hold my breath

Thanks for your comments and I understand your perception and the reasons why. To make a very valid comment in your post in relation to us having one of the weakest squads and that is down TP's woeful wasting off 100 million. So whist Hughes may not be the perfect appointment, that is in no way a justification to justify that TP's dismissal was wrong.

Dramatic people trying tell you that Hughes will be worse than Pulis!! You guys have a better understanding of Pulis than the people visiting and trying to be melodramatic. Hughes will not show up and destroy your club. I think he will do well and perhaps being in the system that your owners are looking to implement will actually temper him and get the best out of him.

Only Stoke fans know how bad it was to watch the ****e that Pulis served up, Hughes will be better on the eye that Pulis football ever was. People from other clubs coming on here having opinions etc how we should be careful what we wish for were the same people saying that last season we were a bunch of thugs who hoof the ball and that we were a disgrace to the prem. We have a new manager now and now the same people saying that we should have kept Pulis ha ha ha what a bunch of idiots. Only Stoke fans know how bad it was to watch the "football" we played under Pulis and im over the moon he is gone, and now we nee to get behind Hughes and give him our full backing.

    UP THE MIGHTY ****ING POTTERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Why do so many posters state the we have signed the wrong manager, we the fans have not signed any one, it has been done on our behalf.

In life, it is not very often that you come across a 'complete' package, someone who you know that could not be any more accomplished ............... Hughes is that very person.
No one but no one could fcuk a club, quicker than he, spend more money? ........... not a chance, segregate players and scrap pier players of the club ............ only Hughes could and has accomplished this mammoth effort in one fell swoop.

My condolences to the Stoke club and it's fans.

Aussie, Pulis pretty much did the same, except he kept us up. Without sounding too harsh I think Hughes' failure at QPR may be to Stoke's advantage as he has a massive point to prove now and needs to unblot his CV. Coming into the club knowing that the large majority of the fans do not want him will also give him the opportunity to want to succeed. Also we have a very switched on chairman that will give him the boot at the slightest sign of him taking us down or taking the pee!

I find it interesting to note the ability of the Football industry to consistently reward failure. Whether the critics are proven right or wrong, the list of possible contenders for the job of Stoke manager read like a who's who of calamity. Personally, I don't get the notion of Hughes as a manager. For that reason, as they say somewhere on TV, "I'm out". I wish Stoke good fortune in the next season, but I have worries for them as well.

Yes,I would not want you Potters fans to think that we are having a go at your club.I just feel that if Hughes had been foisted on ours I would be gutted.I just think that, for example Kenny Jackett who has taken a League 1 job had better credentials.I know Hughes will be motivated to prove everything that has been said about him is wrong I just think that there is enough history to show that it isn't.
