I have been told that my subscription for Robins TV is not valid in Canada. Perhaps it's because the match is being covered by English TV? Somewhat annoyed because I have paid for all matches available.
Apart from them hitting the woodwork a couple of times and a gaff from williams which we got away with, I actually think we played well in that first half. Plenty of energy, intent and effort.. Same again required and no sitting on it allowing them control.. we need to keep concentration and focus.. at last a nice goal from the long throw Bakinson did well to get on the end of it..
How we are ahead in this is unbelievable. Again we are being bossed by an away team in our own backyard. I still can’t see a plan or style of play from NP, other than long diagonal balls - maybe that is NPs style?
good job the Bakinson detractors didnt get their way! best figures so far about 35 mins when it went to 42% v 58% managed 4 shots 2 on target and 2 corners reasonable half. Will they come out fighting instead of like Saturday when first 30 mins of second half was a disaster!
A key 45 mins for us tonight. A chance to see if NP and the team change tactics and go hard for a second, or sit back as we have done on the few occasions we’ve gone a goal ahead at HT. if it’s the latter, we all know what the outcome will be
Stoke have had 2/3 of the possession and yet we are ahead but ugly wins do count. I just hope we don't revert to defensive blockade because that usually doesn't work well for us but let's see if we can come out on top after 90 mins.
