Interesting articles. Now the comments about Bruce.......only joking. I like most fans get sick and tired of players haranguing referees and their assistants but if they refused to go away when they are told to surely if the ref waves a red card at one or two of them the players (and their managers) will soon change their attitudes. Maybe we should introduce a rule as in rugby whereby the captain is the only player who can approach an official and then have to show him the due respect demanded by his position.

On the reverse side of haranguing, did you see Ivanovic's reaction yesterday when the ref went to book him? Completely ignored him, walked away, refused to acknowledge him. On top of a foul that deserved a booking I reckon he should have got sent off.

Yes that is another thing that happens quite often. We may all moan about referees and sometimes with good cause but they are there to do a job and should be given some respect. Okay we know they will sometimes get decisions wrong, a certain penalty given to Liverpool this season springs to mind, but that is part and parcel of the game.

Strange thing for me is, after scoring a goal , you take your shirt off, and underneath is a T shirt, with a dedication to your parent, who has just passed away, yet thuggery as thats what it is goes unpunished, how ****ed up are our rules?
