1307: TRANSFER LATEST - Bristol City Caroline Chapman, BBC Sport West: "Bristol City fans should not be expecting new boss Sean O'Driscoll to splash the cash during the transfer window. Having recorded a loss of £14m last year, they simply can't afford to. "A defensive addition was essential for the Championship's bottom side, who have shipped 56 league goals this season, and they have now bolstered their back line with Brendan Moloney from Nottingham Forest. "Crawley's Kyle McFadzean was a target for ex-City boss Derek McInnes, but O'Driscoll, who briefly managed the 25-year-old last year, said their negotiations are on hold until the summer. O'Driscoll admits his side are not "desirable candidates" but if he can coax in a couple of loanees to patch up his side, it could prove crucial in their fight against the drop." Any thoughts?
Nothing much different Mike SOD has made it clear he doesnt want to spend money for the sake of it, and I have to say I agree. A couple of decent loanees would do for me and that way you can let them go when you need to. There is no point in buying players just for the sake of it.
Pretty much sums us up! Skint and not attractive...........reminds me of a very dark and drunken night in Newport when I was younger!
If you could see some old piccys of me in the early 80's pissed out of my skull Wize, you would see what I mean!
I have and all I can remember is walking (staggering) over that bloody big bridge over Newport's big river (Taff or something) and seeing a bloody turret or old castle, I'd been to a medieval banquet with some Sharpe and Fisher boys, eventually found my hotel and I felt like **** the next morning ....
reading this brings back memories of the mid 70s, working at the old tredegar arms hotel, oposite the old railway station, terrible place on a saturday night, but the girls from art college were something else, generous, to say the least.
Pure class the Newport birds Have you ever seen the You Tube clip Newport state of mind, they did ban it but I think it's back on now
Brilliant parody and soooooo true I worked in Newport 1 day a week from 2006-2008 and that was more than enough. In terms of being a **** hole, and from my own experiences, Newport is second only to Rotherham
Ahhh the good old T.A.........wipe your feet on the way out! The dogs walk around in angry packs in Newport for thier own safety!
Pretty much Shinny!..........although the term woman or female is up for debate in and around Newport!
