All we have to do now is get in the Premier League and we will be on match of the day - at least we won't have to put up with steve Claridge

I can never understand why the Beeb pay so much money to Hansen etc when they could get Phil Brown to do the whole of Match of the Day for £20 and a couple of sun bed sessions.

Not overly fussed if I'm honest. I never watch it, it's ****, I'd rather wait a couple of days and watch 2 minute long highlights on the bbc website as opposed to 15 seconds on the FLS.

But will the web site highlights also go if there is no FLS?

another reason to STOP paying your tv licence. the BBC are binning all there best shows for rubbish and repeats. i think maybe one of itv - ch.4 - ch.5 will take the football league highlights rites from 2012-13. but hopefully this wont be an issue anyway from next season. ;)

as for Steve Claridge, if you think he is bad on the FLS then listen to him on five lives monday nights football club ? jeeeeez.

Hansen on £40k per MotD allegedly. Axe him and they could keep the FLS. Maybe sky will pick this up, rumoured MotD will go too at end of current deal 2013

imo, the BBC will keep MotD only. sky already do a programme called Netbusters which is for football league goals and goes out on a monday.

What the BBC should do is spend most of the budget on a southern middle class sport, say tennis.

****ING WIMBLEDON, WHO WATCHES ****ING WIMBLEDON??????????

Nobody I know, that's because it's pure **** yet the BBC spunk millions on the twatting thing.

    Rant over.

Mixed emotion on this, the FLS doesn't always seem to give everyone a balanced review and then of course there's clowns like Claridge presenting it. The Championship program on ITV on a Sunday morning was pretty good, plus it was on at a more sensible hour for most supporters and if you were out on a Saturday night you didn't miss it.

I find the current FLS timings more convenient, I'd be unlikely to be up at 9am on a Sunday to watch it.

It's understandable that everyone has to make cutbacks, but ffs how much utter ****e is there on telly that could be cut instead? When I get days off I can literally find nothing worthy of my time on telly out of about 100 channels. There must be about 40 different antique selling/bargain programmes, hundreds of soaps and about a million what are Peter Andre/Kerry Katona/Katie Price getting up to these days (who gives a ****) programmes. Not all the fault of the BBC but there are many, many programs that could go before FLS.

I hope the 606 radio show isn't being axed as well, it wasn't on on boxing day either.

ITV might snap it up, they've had that 'The Championship' programme on and off over the years. All I remember of it is 'Beautiful Day' by U2 <laugh>
