The 60th edition of BBC Sports Personality of the Year will be hosted in Leeds on Sunday 15 December - A shortlist of 10 contenders, chosen by a special panel, will be announced on 26 November. What's your shortlist of 10? What's your Top 3?
My Shortlist: Gareth Bale (Football) Ian Bell (Cricket) Charlotte Edwards (Cricket) Mo Farah (Athletics) Carl Froch (Boxing) Chris Froome (Cycling) AP McCoy (Horse Racing) Andy Murray (Tennis) Justin Rose (Golf) Tai Woffinden (Speedway) Top 3 :- Murray, Farah, McCoy
How long have we waited for a Men's Wimbledon winner? We haven't. Elitist snob sport. Everybody can have a crack at running. The Somalicockernee chap who lives anywhere sunny wins everything!!!!! No Brit will ever equal World Champion at 5000, 10000, Olympic Champion at 5000, 10000 AND run faster than Cram Coe, Ovett at 1500 could.
Mo Farah would be my choice, but a lot of what he achieved was last year.- I am proud to say I have ran in the same race as him (Great North Run). He came 2nd and I was a bit further back! Most of what he has done this year is in Preparation for Marathons. If he wins London next year, he will get SPOTY 2014 for sure Murray won Wimbledon this year which makes him favourite I guess
I thought the World championships was this year, BUT I'm often wrong. Marathon reckon the chap is just yet to take it that seriously, toes in the water and still second. Ran 10k in 36 minutes, ran half marathons in sub 1.25 and I can't do one lap at the pace he runs 1500 metres to 26 miles ... Never seen anything like this Moman never ever will again.
To be clear - I think Murray will win, but I will be voting for Farah Overseas I would go for Usain Bolt Team of the year is another category.
BBC Sports Personality of the Year What's your shortlist of 10? What's your Top 3? Who the F**k cares ! Almost as bad as Party Political broadcasts.
Now I would have thought, Party Political broadcasts, was your sort of thing Redprintt, they come out with a load of ****e too.....sorry could not resist that!
Tai Woffinden (Speedway) Tai Woffinden (Speedway) Tai Woffinden (Speedway) Tai Woffinden (Speedway) and so on ___ rides with dislocated, shoulder amongst other things is young and English (apart from some time spent down under) and gets little publicity (relegated to Eurosport) Perhaps the BBC could look at covering the sport???? they have bugger all left.
Totaly agree - I was at Cardiff when he broke his collar bone the first time. Bet Sky are kicking themselves - they drop the Grand Prix coverage and we get a British World Champion
