This evening, I was watching a bit of Live snooker on BBC2. Jo Perry was on the cusp of causing a 1st round 'upset' against World champion, Mark Selby -- then what happens ? BBC announce that they have come to the end of their transmission for the match. The next program starts - it's about some trees in a forest !! -- wow -- I bet that's going to keep all the snooker fans happy ! The next program on BBC2 is Dad's army - probably the millionth repeat.
BBC really struggle against the likes of SKY & BT when it comes to screening live sport - that is likely to appeal to a wide audience - so when they get the chance - they cock it up.
If they must show the program about wood, why didn't they ( at least ), think to put it back by 30 minutes and cancel the millionth repeat of the Dad's Army episode - and allow the snooker to run for another half hour ?
    BBC2 - you stupid boys !
