one of the named shareholders is none other than Alistair McCoist. Now I wonder just exactly when fat sally got those shares...could it have been just around the time he decided to encourage sevconians to buy STs???
I read somewhere where there is an Investor from the Middle East whose wealth is so far off the scale it is difficult to measure, this investor has invested 18.8% in Sevco. Would that mean he has invested somewhere near £200,000. It is reckoned he will be the biggest Investor in Sevco for the foreseeable future. Newcastle United's delivery of 9 or 10 reserves for Sevco has fallen through as both Ashley and Green couldn't agree who would pay for the bus fares.
i read that the huns bus returning from their probably only foreign trip broke down today and the players all walked away. It appears that the referee demanded extra "friendship" payment for the friendship he had shown when disallowing the Berwich goal, that resulted in the Huns not having enough money to buy diesel.
Not fussed on it myself Reb - one saving grace is they didn't choose black socks to go with it ... and thankfully, it didn't stop them winning tonight!
Tough old game tonight. A little harsh on Osasuna but you can't win them all playing wonderfully well.
Agree - to be fair I think Osasuna deserved something from the game ... but I'm not complaining! Come on Getafe!
Biz done - that shall do, as well! Real Madrid in 15th place - a long way to go but must be their worst start to a season in quite a few years.
Yes, a good weekend all round regarding the footie results. Although the new Barca away top gave me a sore head after half an hour.
The new shirt is described as an "explosion of bright colour to celebrate the club's effervescent style of play". It's also reported that the choice of colours is said to "pay homage to the city's mixture of culture, art, style and architecture". Designer's will certainly have a good go at justifying anything they come up with!
There was a shop in Muswell Hill, North London that was designed at the front to be Gaudi-esque. They were made to take it down because it was not in keeping with all the rest of the shops in the area. To me, that jersey is like the front of that shop. Very Barcelona, a homage to the city's mixture of culture, art, style and architecture.....and no business at all in the place you can find it. please log in to view this image
I daresay they will soon know what the majority of fans think of the new shirt but as far as I'm concerned, if they keep playing the way they have been and winning games - particularly against RM - then I'll be happy ... though I do prefer the traditional colours and style. It's a good job people's individual tastes tend to differ though ... otherwise there would be a lot more sad and lonely people in the world!
