Is it reasonable to consider letting Cech go ???? Is it the right time??
Courtois is adament he doesn't want to come here and warm his bum on the bench, and we are apparently looking at some other Goalkeeper as well, obviously as a #3.
So instead of ****ing everything up as we usually do, what are the thoughts of you fans????

    Here's mine.
Cech is a million miles away from being surplus to requirements, and is in great form. At 30, he has many good years to come. Will he get even better???? Doubtful, but he couldn't be much better than he is anyway, he's right up there.
Courtois looks incredibly good, but goalkeepers don't improve when bench warming.
I'd keep the status quo for at least next season, see what kind of shambles we create for next season in terms of players and managers, and make a decision based solely on form around this time next year.
One thing is certain, Courtois will need to replace Cech one day, question is, when ??

Not a chance. Still one of the best, not sure why he'd want to leave either.

Čech's current contract expires at the end of the 2015-16 season as he's not long ago signed a new 4 year contract. (May last year)

I doubt he would want to go anywhere else at the moment as he still has a long way to go with Chelsea.

If Cech goes to the gooners, then not long after Jordan will be the next Prime Minister!

I feel the same way as how I felt when Spurs won the league, Arsenal won the Champions League and West Ham won the FA Cup all in the same season.

Big Peters been the most consistent GK in England for the best part of the last decade is a Chelsea legend certainly the greatest keeper we have ever had between the sticks (and we have had some good ones) so considering that I cant see the club entertaining this cant see him being to keen on the move either.

When Cech first joined you he was world class, but since the head injury I don't think he's been the same keeper. He's decent but he isn't world class anymore.

I think you could do with freshening up your goalkeeper position, maybe giving the lad from Atletico a try.

Cech is probably still in the top 3 keepers in the league, only behind Begavic and De Gea, but that doesn't say alot as the rest of the leagues keepers are incredibly poor. Especially the most overrated of them all Joe Hart

De Gea is a very good shot stopper but very inconsistent performance wise you almost expect him to make a mistake when the opposition get a corner Begavic isnt that good hence why nobody has brought him and if they did he would likely be second choice.

Lots of keepers have had good seasons, Krul last year for instance. No one has been as consistent for so long as Cech though. Only Joe Hart currently comes close to Cech at the moment IMO. Take his save against Carroll in the FA cup final and his 3 penalty saves in the C.L final as evidence that he is still a top top keeper.

De Gea...again...what ****ing planet are you on KS????

Cech today denies any knowledge of the rumours and insists he's with us to stay. That is the best response he could make. As to his rating in the PL, he's by far the most consistent and probably the best. Brad Freidel and Mark Swartzer are the other 2 who stick out with their consistency. De Gea is all over the shop, brilliant one week, terrible the next. He's got what it takes, but is not there yet.
Leave Courtois where he is and re assess end of 2014 season.

Cech is the best keeper in the league by far and has been for some years, Courtois looks like he could take his place very soon, he is having a fantastic season at Athletico. De Gea has great reflexes and agility but absolutely no control of his area, he has just had five consecutive clean sheets which just happen to coincide with Vidic returning to defend against set pieces. I believe (hope) De Gea will become a world class keeper, maybe even the best, but not for at least another 3-4 years.
