BBC sport has the story. Guardiola denies any contact, and stresses he's taking time off. Makes sense, why would anyone leave Barcelona for the instant gratification grinder that is Chelsea ??? Only money, but Guardiola seems a man of honour. If the story is true, then Abramovich has hugely insulted RDM and publicly shown he thinks he's second rate. On top of that, imagine RDMs' feelings ?? He's busting his balls and has dragged our rabble to heights unthinkable 3 months ago. And what does he get ?? A kick in the guts from the owner and the odious Buck and Gourlay. Another classic Abramovich own goal, with his usual inept sense of timing. If I were Robbie, I'd turn Abramovich down at the end of the season if he offers him the job. There will be no shortage of offers for Robbie.
In our present situation, all dealings would be highly secret, and unless the press are still "hacking", I cant see that any of these reports are anything but guesswork!
I am surprised to hear RDM has changed his mind and wants the job now.Last I knew his family were still make the move back to Italy this summer.
Judging by the look on Roman's chops at the end of the game , I think Robbie could well have a job for life!
I should bloody well hope so !! He DID actually smile !!!!! Not a tight lipped grimace but an actual smile !! If we win the CL he might actually laugh.
