I'm guessing that most of you on here have read the gossip page on the Beeb and will no doubt be disappointed that Messi has said that he wants to stay with Barca for the rest of his career which of cause rules us out of signing him in the summer! But anyway on a more serious note there is a story claiming that Celtic are prepared to play in League One should the oppotunity arise. Sigh, now I like Lennon and like to see him do well at Celtic, but I really don't want to attend games with anglophic chanting and pro IRA songs, not only that but which poor sod has to leave the league to facilitate them? OK its on a rumour but one that pops its head up time and time again and I think everytime it does I rant on about it. What next, French teams, Malta, Greek?
Messi it´nt coming to LCFC ? that´s ****ed up my weekend. As for Celtic, I´d love it if Rangers, Celtic, Hearts & Hibs joined the English lge div 1. Do it ,it´ll be interesting. They´ll more than likely all make it into the npower, it´ll be interesting to see if they make the prem, Jock ´foootbal´ is ****ed anyway.
They can start at the very bottom like any new club does. Or... severely compensate the clubs which they replace to the tune of the value of their place in the league for at least a generation
If they're going to join our league system then they can do what Wimbledon have done and start from scratch. No reason why they should pick and choose what league they start in.
How gracious of them to be prepared to reduce themselves to playing at such lowly levels. Let me think about it, erm no. As people have said, they can do what AFC Wimbledon did and start at the bottom or stay in the mickey mouse league they've got up here. How ironic though that they want to move down to England due to lack of competition in Scotland, and that story gets run in the morning before they go on to lose their League Cup Final to Kilmarnock. And as I've said all along, if they don't want to enter their first team in non-league, why not enter their reserves in it? Surely their reserves are good enough to play their way up the non-leagues in consecutive seasons, at least until they reach the Football League. Once they've reached the league they can take their reserves' place whenever they want.
