'Liverpool want Chelsea striker Daniel Sturridge and will sell midfielders Charlie Adam and Stewart Downing to raise the funds to buy him' If Sturridge is available for 64p, surely we should make a move?
It made me laugh mind, Adam + Downing does not = Sturridge. Unless your high. Or someone has compromising pictures of you and a ladyboy.
Sorry lads but I watched Sturridge play in the Olympics and rate him on the same level as Downing and Adam - they're all ****e. Wouldn't want any of them at SAFC at the moment
He was playing in a team put together a couple of weeks prior to the olympics, give him a run in a team and he will score goals, he proved that at Chelsea last season.
You're talking about a club that lashed out £55m on Carroll & Henderson, how can you expect them to be realistic in their valuations?
Sturridge is a great player, I'd have him here but he would want the central role which he can't get at Chelsea and which we couldn't give him either (permanently). Plus he's on HUGE wages.
Jury is still out on young Sturidge for me. Did well on loan at Bolton and in flashes at Chelsea when given opportunity but his attitude and overall demeanour paint a picture of a far too angry young man who has delusions of grandeur imo. I still think for the kind of fee and wages he would command, I'd sooner in for Jordan Rhodes. He looks to have great temperament and am amazing track record. A young SKP imo and would be a third of the fee and wages.
I prefer Welbeck over Sturridge Sturridge is more of an angry and greedy player imo and purely looks to make himself look better, he is not the team player that i believe MON goes for Welbeck is similar but on a much smaller scale and does help out with the team a bit more, technical skill i would say Sturridge is superior but I think all round Welbeck is the better player
