Hi guys this is the first time I have started a thread! At least it is something different to discuss while we wait for the season to start. Every day I check the BBC Football - Sunderland page for news. I noticed ours hasn't changed for days and days so I checked all the other premiership teams to compare (sad I know) and ours was the oldest by miles. This is what I found when I looked at the dates of the main article on the BBC footbal website for all premier league teams as of this evening (2nd August ): Arsenal - 1/8/11 Villa - 29/7/11 Blackburn - 2/8/11 Bolton - 30/7/11 Chelsea - 1/8/11 Everton - 29/7/11 Fulham - 1/8/11 Liverpool - 30/7/11 Man City - 1/8/11 Man United - 2/8/11 Newcastle - 2/8/11 Norwich - 1/8/11 QPR - 1/8/11 Stoke - 2/8/11 Sunderland 18/7/11 ** Swansea - 2/8/11 Spurs - 1/8/11 WBA - 2/8/11 Wigan - 29/7/11 Wolves - 2/8/11 I am sure that some BBC sports reporter could have written something about Sunderland since 18 July. What do you all think - is this just sloppiness or payback for us having so much transfer news earlier in the summer?
Hello heironymous. I mentioned this a week ago. We are hated by the media. Simple as. Come the revolution..... "Please. The wall is this way" x
We don't need no media coverage We don't need no thought control None of our stories in the headlines BBC leave our club alone Hey! BBC! Leave our club alone! All in all it's just another brick in the wall
Please - am not making any point other than ANOTHER week passes with Vaughan happy to sign! Hope you dont think I meant you when I said "come the revolution...." Everyone who knows me - I could be here apologising all night. x
No worries BBP I didn't think you were being critical. Anyway I have emailed BBC sport to ask for an explanation. No doubt they will ignore that as well!
FFS bobby stop apologising everyone knows what you mean mate, not sure about the kiss at the end of the posts mind but each to their own. Totally agree about the media we could qualify for CL, win a cup and they'd still rather report on one of the Sky 6 (as it is now) laying a new pitch at their training ground or some other non entity. Keep the faith mate the day will come Freedom For Sunderland!
Clue. We are all a bit Narcisistic on here. How do you find your last post in a conversation? xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Dunno how I find mine... So. Sorry Guys and Gals. Am not female, am not gay but i can find my posts - they are the most important. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
no news is good news for me, would rather have that than is he going "oh yes he is", "oh no hes not" Modric, cesc etc etc players twittering slaughtering the owner/chairman Barton, Jose etc Best player injured for start of the season, Gerrard. Billionaire owners, no cash to spend on players. QPR. etc etc.
Ha! No reply to my email from BBC but miraculously the Sunderland page on BBC Sport website now has a new story. Its a rewrite of info in the Echo mind, so hardly groundbreaking.
