BBC football used to be great, now it's dreadful.

I used to use the BBC football site everyday. I started to go off it when instead of real football news and stats it seemed to be more interested in covering the front page with political crap, gossip and womans football (no offense to anyone who likes womans football)

Now with the change recently it's even worse. Trying to find basic football information like a league top scorers of actual teams lineups is a real chore. Yet if i'm interested in what Adam Johnson's girlfriend thinks of him or why some random ex england womans player was dropped 5 years ago then i'm in luck!

Look at it today. There are 7 seperate stories about Sep Blatter/FIFA this and that on the front page stories section alone. Yet if i want info on this weekends league games i have to hunt for it.

So basically i'm looking for another site to bookmark for my footy needs. Any suggestions appreciated.

    Cheers!

    It's a ****ing mess, isn't it?
It was simple and straightforward with all of the important stuff at the front.
Now it's all hidden somewhere in the depths behind a load of irrelevant ****e.

I'd suggest that you complain to them and let them know what a balls up they've made, but I doubt you'd be able to find the complaints button.
I'm sure it's there somewhere, though. Try going through the latest article on some non-entity signing for a third tier Scottish team.

I get frustrated whan I want to see scores and scorers on matchdays. I end up having to go into each match.

I use a scores app which seems to be a lot better.

News wise I could do with a good site, I use the Echo site for Liverpool news which is really good.

Agreed with the above. It's a shambles. The old site used to have a headline, then the top stories of he day on one side, the fixtures and table in the other side. Nice and neat, all relevant info available at a glance.

Now you have to scroll past pics and stories of low relevance and importance and dig into the site to find fixtures and results. I thought it might be me just being a bit of a Luddite and it taking some time to get used to, but it's genuinely a step in the convoluted direction.

Bring back the old site BBC

  12. I always follow the BBC Football Live commentary on match days. I do it for the laughs, and to see how quickly the various pundits can jerk themselves off into a frenzy over United and/or 'Pool. The bias is truly incredible.

Licence fee money actually pays for Jermaine Jenas' views. A player who made a career out of being constantly five yards from the ball.

You should post that on the Dipper board. They have a thread dedicated to the belief that the BBC are biased towards United and against the Dippers. Any suggestion that there is any kind of bias in favour of the Dippers would have them foaming like rabid Dipper dogs. Hi Paige.

So all your experience of any football match is following live texts on the BBC website? That explains a lot. You should try watching a game, it would be a revelation <laugh>

Watching his own would be a start. As for United, it happens in football, certainly makes a change from everyone going to their games just to watch us play :)
