a most exciting program yesterday with garth crooks and dion dublin? both experienced pundits with lots of useful things discussed in between goals. dion doubted that racism will ever be removed from football and both had a pop at the fa for their light sentence imposed on terry, although neither belived he is/was a racist i would like to see garth crooks as a permanent fixture on bbc motd. on a different tack how many black people are on the fa board and pfa committee? and how many ex black players are regulars on bbc motd. time for fa, pfa and bbc to get their acts together. this is a difficult subject to raise but i believe we owe our many black and ex black players this debate. if they should feel the authorities are not doing enough, small wonder some refuse to wear the kick it out t shirts and a few want a black players union. i think the ferdinand brothers statement has cleared the air, but fa, pfa etc need to get their acts together to avoid a split in their ranks. and we certainly need many more black managers given their chance to manage. i do hope i have not offended anyone but i believe in fairplay for all. as a lifelong trade unionist, anti racism was instilled in me over the past 50 years. floreat salopia! floreat fair play for all!
