All in all, a pretty fair assessment, I'd say - painful though it is to accept. Apologies if it's been posted elsewhere already. http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/thefootb...tml?utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitter
Yep, that's pretty spot on, isn't it? Nothing wrong with acknowledging our weaknesses, it would be the failure to act on them that'd be stupid. For my money, Jackson, or Vaughan if he's fit enough, to start. Note to all in yellow, though, when in your own area, do not touch an opposition player at all... in fact, don't even breathe near them!
i really rate lee dixon - i think he is an excellent pundit and i'm pleased when i see he is commenting on our games. not too sure why he isn't used on match of the day more often. he talks more sense than shearer and lawrenson combined! agree wholeheartedly with his assessment again here. for me, ignoring dubious decisions for a moment, the biggest difference between the teams was a £10m striker. well, we can't sign one of them! i felt we were poor at the back but only from long balls aimed down the middle. the rest of the time we defended very well. pretty sure thats something they can work on and iron out in training. its all about positioning and a bit of nous. we can't however work on a £10m striker in training as we don't have one -but we do have pace and creativity on the bench and i'd like to see us play hoolahan, fox and jackson from the start at the reebok next week. all three players have a spark about them and i'm very surprised fox hasn't been playing ahead of crofts. i'd go with ruddy; naughton, de laet, barnett, tierney; fox; johnson, bennett; hoolahan; holt, jackson
We will struggle to hang on to Tierney the boy is fabulous and there is always a shortage of good left backs....Maybe its because he changed to 23?
Well just seen motd 2 and we got some positives from Dixon and brad Friedal. We play it nice like Swansea Just need that cutting edge and pace up front (they said odemwiggle was the difference for WBA) and our back four playing a tighter line as well. Reid went down a bit like Ian Harte last year, I think someone in the n@p shot him
