1 hour and 5 minutes in.

John Motson, Steve Claridge and Ian McGarry discuss the relegation battle, who will go and where everyone will finish.

If you can't be bothered to listen, predictions for Saints are as follows....

    Motson: 13th
    Claridge: 14th
    McGarry: 15th

They also all have QPR and Reading going down. Wigan and Villa occupy the other spots. Surprised how low they had Stoke.

    Sorry! 1hr 5 mins.

I had put it in, but my keyboard keeps going weird when I type at the moment and it wasn't there.

    Re-added to original post.

Claridge normally criticised us when we were in the FL, fair play to him! Wish I was that optimistic, would be happy with 17th.

Really? I always thought that Claridge was very clued up on Saints. At times I'd say he actually heaped praise on us.

Could regularly be seen at St. Mary's. Decent pundit.

Agree with this. Claridge actually watched our games, not just the highlights, and was often complimentary!

He was lapping us up last year on the football league show, not all ex-Pompey players are nut jobs!

Their form since the turn of the year has been dire.

Basically, they need to pull their finger out now, especially with the bottom being as tight as it is.

He warmed to us while we completed our football league journey. I think he's quite good, got a lot more about him than some other higher paid pundits.

Thanks for the link, DTLW. I did intend to listen in last night, and have been meaning to have it on in the background this evening. I'll cut to the chase. Cheers.

Indeed he did. He has good insight and is one of the major reasons while I'll occasionally tune into Monday Night Club.

Sorry I'm with the others, can only remember him being effusive in his praise of us throughout the entire of last season.

He wasn't at the season's outset, from what I can remember, but he was one of the first real believers...and unlike some other commentators, he seemed to continue believing on the rare instances where our form dipped.
