So you can watch the Champions League elect for just over £100, compare that to some of the prices in the article, maybe it's about time the clubs realised that it's the fans that pay through the nose, It would cost more to see Wigan at their cheapest than to see Bayern, how can this be justified!

That's part of the problem tbh. Couple of years ago Bayern weren't selling out the Allianz, so they know if they jack up their ticket prices they will have empty seats. Utd know our fans will are willing to pay more than twice as much as Bayern and we still sell out a larger ground.

I think German fans, and most European fans, are less tolerant of high ticket prices than Brits are. That's possibly a consequence of the Bundeliga only being around 50 years old - there isn't the same tradition of people being brought up going to the stadium as there is here.

It's also arguably a function of the looser ownership rules in the UK. Ticket prices rose very rapidly in most English grounds after Abramovich took over, as cash from fans was the only way most clubs could keep up with Chelsea. No sugar daddies in the Bundesliga, so much less pressure to milk the fans to compete with the richest clubs.
