I’ve come to the pub to watch it with the father in law (man yoo fan). Not sure how my usual rules of watching matches in the pub applies here....we’ll no doubt lose, but who’s we? Might just get drunk and forget about it!
Did anyone note how Joe Hart was not that amused by Roy Keane throughout? He was very much sat thinking "I don't like him mocking modern footballers because that's me" Roy Keane is a knob, lets get it right. However regardless whether you like him or not, regardless of his Man U and Sunderland background, there are times he just makes the average fan go "too ****ing right" when discussing modern footballers. He calls them out on all their bullshit and hence the footballers struggle with him. There are a few like this and modern players (and modern supporters) just dismiss them as out of touch with modern football. They are right of course. The Roy Keane way of telling people the truth and asking them to improve is not welcomed now. They don't have the stomach for such conversations. They need egos massaged and told how great they are 20 times a day. There are modern footballers who show the way to give some balance. Your Kante, Matic, Fernandinho, Milner, Andy Robertson types etc don't seem to be so soft. They get on with the game regardless. They always give you 100% even when having a bad game.
Another point to that post match stuff other night,Rashford giving an interview after the game saying disappointed, upset etc it didn't stop him getting his advertising in though(baseball cap),Ferguson would have told him to get that stupid ****ing hat off you when you're representing the club, surprised Sky allowed it.
All about the money. It should not be allowed at all as it will just get abused. Its bad enough when they are interviewed they stand with that background of loads of little PL/Barclays signs etc. I find it tedious and the obsessive compulsive in me cannot tolerate the lack of uniformity
