    We're bidding for it to turn into a 60k stadium!! Love the location, love the capacity--but hate the idea of moving from our traditional home! I thought BPS was a listed building? How do blues feel about the move?

    And it will still be The Bridge, justa different one :) , and to stick one up the residents on kings road who refused to let us expand, we could hire out the old ground to the travellers P

    Love the idea <laugh>. I think with all the money involved it'll be sold to the highest bidder! I wonder if we'll be able to buy bits of it for memorabilia? Like seats etc

    Bit long winded blue, I'll just stick to Battersea Drogs! That's if out bid is successful of course.

    Really you already generate alot from your home games. Is a move to a bigger place really a good investment?

    Don't think we've got any choice other than to move. I know some people won't want to, but we need 60k stadium.

    I think it's quite an exciting time. All the players, youth, coaches etc. will be busting a gut to be the first Chelsea players to play/coach there. I might even be able to convince the Mrs that season tickets for me & my boy are a good idea....part of the future & all that.

    A4L--We are always at capacity in PL games and could certainly fill a 60k stadium! I think the feelings about leaving SB will vary between the youngish supporters and oldies like me who can remember the place when it was nearly all terracing! Personally I dont care if its only a 42k capacity, just as long as I can get the tickets I want, but its all about money and revenues these days so I'll just have to go along with things!

    Would be a good move. Prominant building, great public transport. Would be nice to see the old girl being used again for something useful

    Easier for me to get to but I wanted Earls Court. The design etc is appealing though.

    Im very happy about us bidding for Battersea Power Station. The plans sound great and to have a 60k stadium with a single tier stand of 15k behind one goal would be epic! Certainly make the atmosphere insane! Well done to the club for listening to the fans... Que sera sera, whatever will be will be, we're going to Wembley, Germany oh and Battersea, que sera sera!

    I love this location. When I was a cub my mum made time from work in afternoons and on weekends to take me to Battersea park. The big treat was to go to the funfair there. You could hear the crowd at Stamford Bridge of a Saturday. Being a South Londoner there was always something irksome about Chelsea being on the wrong side of the river despite the post code (just my perspective obviously). In fact the saying 'Born on the wrong side of the tracks' stems from when a vibrant Battersea was severed from the rest of London with the building of Clapham Junction. With the Thames and the Falcon rivers on two sides and the largest number railway tracks in the world along the other two, Battersea died and became a notorious slum.

    Battersea 'B' has been part of my conciousness always and I love Art Deco, hence my name for Deco at Chelsea was always 'Art' (short for Artful, he did have a nice touch on the ball). If built here the Stadium would be unique and iconic the world over. Something all Chelsea fans could be rightfully proud of.

    <ok>

    i think it'd be a massive step forward for us but leaving the Bridge is going to be extremely hard to take, a ground that has had every kind of game imaginable!

    Like the idea of moving to a bigger stadium. Battersea power station is the perfect place to build a 60,000 capacity stadium because it's still in the 3 mile radius from Stamford Bridge. I hope our offer gets accepted. The new stadium will generate a great atmosphere.
