I have been talking to a well known bath city fan who has implied that they are sniffing round will puddy.
I believe he has no contract with BRFC.
Do you think DC will offer him one ?
I'm not his greatest fan but he did play his part in the promotion race.

    Negatives....
He is a small keeper and his kicking is awful. However he im sure has been told to kick it out wide to Monkhouse as he is tall. But most of the time his kicking misses Monkhouse and give possession away and takes pressure off the opposition and creates pressure on us.

    Positives....
He commands his area well and collects the ball high up with ease. He has been knocked over a few times by the opposition but he gets straight back up so he can look after himself. He has a good understanding with the defence. When he throws out the ball his distribution is very good and is a good shot stopper.

Personally I dont think he is good enough to be our number 1 in league 2. However, he would be a good back up.
I prefer Mildenhall ahead of Puddy.

Mildenhall is under contract and Puddy is out of contract.

I dont think we can afford 3 keepers. So if DC is happy for Mildenhall to stay as our number 1 then Puddy would be a good back up. But if DC feels Mildenhall is back up material only now then we should be looking for a new number 1 keeper and Puddy to be told thank you for your efforts last season and good luck with the rest of your career.

I feel though Puddy is too good for Bath's league level though.

Yeah his kicking isn't great. He's the same height as Iker Casillas :biggrin:so for me his height isn't really a problem he seems ok on crosses I think he just lacks a bit of confidence. Oh and he's a couple of inches taller then Andy Collett and he was a decent keeper IMO.

I don't think his kicking is that bad. Earlier at Rovers it was very good.
It looks as if later he was told to kick to Monkhouse on the wing, like
we ALWAYS used to do to Jeff Hughes. In fact generally his distribution
    is excellent.
Even if we didn't keep him he's too good for Conference South.

Sorry but I stand by my comment that his kicking is awful. Wembley was worse than usual.

I wouldn't mind him as back up as captain jack said.
Let's go for mikkel Andersen and middy as back up.

He's a bit unpredictable and I think he would cost us games in the League because they're a bit more clinical. But he could do better than Bath.

He likes to keep it local so maybe cheltenham will be a good guess unless DC hands him something as an award.
I'm sure we will all find out this week.

He and Mildy will do a job in league two - but if we are serious, we will probably need a better keeper in the long run
