Seems like 'Peter' was right after all. I've just seen this on the EDP website - “He has improved a lot in a short space of time which is great news and we’ll leave it him now to make a last minute decision on him,” he said. “He has shown significant improvement since Saturday and hopefully he will be ready for the game. It is a spasm in his back. That is football. It is a muscle contraction that went into spasm so at the time it can be really painful but it is one of those things that can improve over a limited period of time.” Full story here - http://www.edp24.co.uk/sport/norwic...ess_race_for_charlton_trip_1_3949192#cxrecs_s
I wonder if we'll risk him against Charlton, given that we have Wolves and Watford in the next two games.
I would say the Charlton game is just as big if not bigger than the other two, our form against the lesser teams has been sloppy to say the least, we need continuity now and to make a statement with the next game, more of the same please and a clean sheet
Ah sorry, In wondered if you were questioning Basson's professionalism based upon his reaction to CH's departure when he appeared to have a massive fall out with the club. Looks like I was reading too much into your comment, apologies.
No, in a way you are right, what I meant was, when he went to Watford, it appeared that there was no way back for him, he got his head down and performed well enough there for them to open talks about taking him back. Alex Neil coming in and holding talks with him opened the door to a fresh start, but having so recently left Watford, where he must have made some friends, will this interfere with his concentration?
Now that is a moot point and an interesting question. I think we all agree that on his day Bassong is one of the best defenders in the league, the knack is to get him playing to that standard week in week out. Hopefully AN will be able to do what others have been unable to do and if he is able to perform that magic, the recent association with Watford will be overcome.
