Ironically, 1 involves Everton - whose board gave Norwich City FC a hard time years ago after mis-heard chants aimed at Joseph Yobo! http://www.canaries.co.uk/news/article/racism-statement-10-dec-12-536657.aspx
I am on twitter but mainly use it to pick up info about my club, or friendly banter with my on-line friends, but there does seem to be more than their fare share of idiots on board!
I'm glad this is being dealt with well by all sides but it's disgraceful that one player has had 4 incidents of racist abuse in such a short time. Luckily he's a guy thats big enough to deal with it. Literally, I've met him and he's massive. Not sure how cocky the alleged racists would be locked in a room with him. He's a CB for a reason...
people seem to make racist comments and then delete their account immediately. total cowards. thankfully, some alert posters are quick enough to get screen grabs of these idiots so they have nowhere to hide. lock 'em up
I find it bizarre that people take such risks all by shouting out bile on a social networking site then the next thing you known you're being getting arrested then on Monday your in the newspaper by Tuesday you lose your job, ****ing cretinous behaviour if you ask me. You might as-well gamble your house or your life on the red and black on a roulette table.
I find it bizzare that every club in Britain has black players who play for them, some of which are adored by the fans yet there is always idiots willing to use racial abuse to players of other clubs. Not a personal dig at Swansea in any way as every club has their complete tools, but does the idiot who abused Bassong treat Nathan Dyer and Wayne Ashley Williams in the same way?
I blame Liverpool, and to a lesser extent Chelsea for the recent spate of racist abuse that has occurred in the Premier League. By belittling or turning a blind eye to racist abuse both clubs reactions in the aftermath of the Suarez/Terry incidents have effectively legitimized racism for a certain of individual. Certainly the number of incidents seems to be on the rise since both of these cases and i can't help but feel that if Liverpool and Chelsea had acted in a more responsible manner we would be having far fewer issues right now.
Really feel for seb here. It's seems that often certai players are targeted, look at Vaughan last season
