well done Seb, although Crooks' assessment that he kept the whole Reading attack at bay is a little far fetched. i thought the whole back line were solid most the time. it's good to see our new-found defensive strength getting continued praise. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/20292448
If anything, I'd say this was his worst performance in a Norwich shirt (given how good he's been, that doesn't mean he was awful... just not quite as good as the previously high standards!) Bassong got caught dallying twice and one was very nearly a goal, rescued by Turner (although Ruddy possibly had it covered). I thought Turner was outstanding- his best game for us by far and he deservedly got MOTM on sky sports.
I agree thought he bailed bassong out a few times and looked a lot more assured. Looking a good player now he's a bit more settled.
It's looking good isn't it (at the back) Just watched on canary player of the game vs reading in nov 2010 and we had Barnett and ward as CBs, much better quality now for sure. Turner made some very good blocks on sat, I also like the look of Whitaker
I was thinking the very same thing! I can't remember the last time he made my heart stop by stopping in the penalty box for a brief second before deciding to belt the ball away! That was a shocking moment and a moment of total disbelief for me. All the same, he has been inconstantly good overall, as has the defence in the games since the Liverpool shocker and agreed it was Turners best performance to date. Now if he can be equally consistent then maybe, just maybe we will have a pair of CB's that can work together like Bruce & Butterworth did
