I see Canary Dave closed the match thread as soon as the match of the day pundits had rubbished Barton's sending off!!
Both Hanson and Shearer, who is definitely no friend of Joey, said it was never a red card. And to be fair, even Holt was clearly telling the ref that he was making a mistake.
None of the officials saw anything and were conned by the whinging, cheating Norwich players!
It's gone now and we move on, but I've never seen a worse ref or a more whinging bunch than Norwich's players!!

Barton got what he deserved because he's a massive prick and he, your manager and apparently you director are going to be fined for saying we conned the ref. Good luck with that.

If you look back through the match thread, Dave gave fair warning to all concerned to move on long before MotD.

My two pence for what it's worth. I think (purely on the actual sending off incident) Barton's unlucky. But, if you put your head into an opponents, and yours is the forward motion, you're asking for trouble.

Can't really see what Warnock's comlaining about with Johnson. At the time of the incident, Johnson didn't go down and didn't appeal. There's a lot of argy bargy after the whistle, but that wasn't Warnock's complaint.
I know he put his hand to his face, but I can't believe such a motion would have influenced the ref into a sending off. Clutching your face in mock agony, rolling on the floor etc. maybe. But not what Johnson did.

Anyway, as you say, it's gone now. One things for certain, both City and QPR are going to have to pick up many more points before May. Let's hope we both make it.

Then can I suggest that you stop defending Johnson? And stop closing threads simply because most people's view of an incident doesn't support the Norwich City Party Line? Shearer and Hansen dislike us and despise barton, and even THEY say he didn't do anything.

I have made no inbred insinuations of any kind!! Check your facts before telling lies about someone mister moderator!! I have insulted some of your fans, as we took ridiculous stick from some of them over the points deduction saga and I certainly stand by my comments that your players are a whinging moaning bunch who surround the ref at every opportunity and moan and complain at every decision that goes against them. That's what I saw today and, what MOTD showed was that Barton did not head butt anyone!

Again, if you look back through the match thread you'll see Dave's reaction to something said by a City fan (as mentioned earlier on this thread) shows his moderation is certainly not one sided.

 

From your words I wonder if you really DO know what happened! I was disappointed with the footage on MOTD, I would have thought, with the amount of cameras around the ground, they could have provided a clearer idea of what actually happened!

Watching the stream at the time it actually happened, I'm convinced I saw blood coming from Johnson's nose! That was not evident on the MOTD film, so who knows?

I'm not defending Johnson, I really don't know why you're all calling him a cheat, all he did was move HIS head away from Barton's incoming head!

If the situation had been reversed, I would have been upset, but by the final whistle I would have accepted it and moved on, just like we had to in our first 5 matches this season!
