    OK, I know the man is not perfect but what a way to respond to being booed off by your own fans, dropped for a week and then coming on to play against Arsenal. He played with the skill, determination and passion that we all expect from any QPR player. I honestly cannot recall a glaring error and he sooooooo very nearly scored a beauty that many lesser keepers would not have saved.

    I hope the JB bashers will have the grace to acknowledge the key part he played in today's win.

    Every player was awesome today without exception. Given recent history, however, I felt Joey deserved a special mention.

    Carry on Joey. I sincerely want you to become Captain Fantastic for QPR.

    He's responded the right way, I'm glad he's showing us on the pitch what he's capable of, just keep it going...

    Come back and ask on 13th May. Only then can an honest answer be given.

    But it looks encouraging.

    he needs to stay off twatter during the season, he is an addict and Im sure that was affecting him. Especially as its just one non stop argument and our fans were probably giving him loads if stick.

    Hes not forgiven, its just one game but he will be if he carries on like that.

    Every time he performs like that I'll happily chant his name. The next thing he needs to change is his twitter usage. Get rid of it. I think that's why so many people were annoyed at him. We want to think that he's concentrating on his job and his twitter usage makes people think otherwise, especially when he puts in a bad performance.

    A top performance and exactly what he can do. I really hope I'm right when I say he's the type of player who will revel in the victory and feed off the support he got today. I really expect it to carry on. Hope the knockers give him his due which so far they seem to have done!

    Bully boy must think Barton was quite special today if he did wrote like that;) Seriously ,Barton played like the captain of the team should play and was the real powerhouse on the midfield. I think it was the best match i have seen all season but after wigans and boltons win i did came down to earth again. Anyway it was encouracing display but we really have to carry on like that.

    I almost resent that term! Not because its a synonym for Tits but it implies we're being somehow unfaithful to the cause when we criticize an under performing player.

    Not so. In fact, as I said at the time, the haranguing Barton got last week might have given him the kick up the arse needed.

    Why come down to earth?? Think from their perspective, they will have felt that we would lose and their wins would get some daylight for them. Instead they have gained no advantage and will worry about our capability having turned over such an in form side! Positive thinking, come on rrrr's!

    It will only be a positive weekend if man u win and we get out of the bottom 3, otherwise we were just treading water which would be a real bummer.

    What I loved about today was that everyone cheered and sang his name from the off. No booing or ****ing him off. He thrived on that. At the final whistle if anyone was in doubt about the passion of this team, you should of seen Barton & co celebrate. You'd be forgiven for thinking that we had won the world cup. Make no mistake, we've got our Rangers back.

    QPR999 - I also saw that - Barton was punching the badge on his chest. Superb passion and exactly what we want to see.

    That's really reassuring to hear. That alone gives me great hope for a successful outcome to the season.

    Good post seahoop, but also the programme notes from Beard, Hughes and Barton were superb today. Usually the matchday programme dishes out the usual QPR propaganda but today's programme ( v Arsenal ) was really truthful and hard hitting. It showed a lot of deep rooted honesty.I'm now convinced that whatever happens this season, we are on the verge of greater things to come.

    That's too harsh - this was a week where most of us wrote off the game against an in form Arsenal. We haven't lost ground and that's superb.

    From my distanced internet link, Barton was outstanding. He fought and bullied he linked attack and played like the player we've seen for his past employers.

    He also showed his intelligence and match head by getting a booking in injury time to break up play and a few drawn out injuries to disrupt rhythm.

    It's very harsh although I do see where he's coming from. They're all hitting form around us. Positives:

    Wolves are gone I'd say;

    Villa are starting to circle the drain;

    And hopefully today generates some level of confidence and self-belief for the rest of the season.

    Im not being harsh on the players or performance but they will be gutted on monday if they are still in the relegation zone which means we would likely still be there Weds week. We deserve to be out of the bottom 3, I hope Utd dont do what they did at OT against Blackburn.

    Id agree weve gone from a 60% chance of going down to a 50% chance now.
