He should keep his opinions to himself. Nobody cares, Joey!

Saw his comments on SSN earlier, he thinks he's way more important and relevant than he is.

Warnock gets sacked - no one gives a toss.
Warnock moans about it - no one gives a toss.
Barton tweets about it - still, no one gives a toss.

Wonder how QPR will handle this, cant be going down too well with Fernandes or the fans, can see him moving on but dont know where he'd go. Hard not to feel smug, especially after the media thought we'd miss him so much.

    Yes. Yes. Yes.

I thought we'd miss him, but the media made it out to be like the club had been stabbed through the heart, seems as if we had, but Barton was the stake (damn, that sounds pretentious)

so glad we got rid of him, hes an arrogant twat... bet he feels a right dickhead now after all the fuss he kicked up here.. 6th and just signed a potential champions league class striker. Bet the nob would still argue the no ambition bollocks, hope qpr get relegated just to see barton suffer. we backed him through jail time and he betrayed us with his actions on twitter, his career was going down the drain as nobody would touch him even on a free, except warnock he gave him a chance and once again the gobshite lets people down. hes had enough chances let him rot and leave his mark on football as a failure

Say what you like about Joey Barton, but he is one of that rare breed: a footballer with a brain who is happy to exploit the English language beyond the usual 'know what I mean?', 'take every game as it comes' brigade. He is a bloody good player into the bargain. I don't blame him in the slightest for using his talents to the utmost in exploiting fat, useless, ignorant bastards like Ashley and his ilk.

Call it arrogance if you like. I call it free speech.

Barton is playing for a club in a bit of turmoil fighting relegation. Ashely is owner of a club currently in the top 6 pushing for Europe. Now who is the mug?

Can we just have a 'Barton Thread' so we don't get loads of them whenever he does something? He's an ex-player, time to move on.

I couldn't give a rats arse what he says in public. It is up to him what he says and up to everybody else to take it or ignore it. But, I really have to disagree with your opening here. Barton is no more intelligent than the average footballer, the only difference with him is that he thinks that he is and thus acts as though he is.

This whole 'time to move on' thing is daft, we all moved on within a week of his departure. How long do we all have to wait before we can discuss this? If Kieron Dyer or Obafemi Martins was generally being an annoying bellend, would we get told to 'move on' if we discussed their latest capers?
