Dont rate either keeper but for me Bart is the better of the two!!
Midfield looks as dull as, once again!!

    I agree Spanish.
Mick drops the 'keeper because he's made a couple of mistakes but leaves the defence that helped to put him under pressure alone. I don't expect Gerken to fair any better with the same four players in front of him.

Gerken was poor and done nothing to seize the opportunity given to him. Why we are paying PK a wage if he isnt a viable option Im not sure

Gerken was poor? Really? I thought he made some very impressive saves and his handling, for the most part, was fine. You can't blame him for the goal either, as it was his excellent initial save that denied a clear goalscoring opportunity.

early game nerves had me very worried and not watching the flight of the ball to give away a corner hardly gave the defence(or me) confidence. The only difference between him and bart is that recently bart has done this under pressure and we have conceded. Gerken done it without pressure and we were let us. neither suggest that they are of the quality required for a top 6 team and that is what we are aiming to be.

Well it was his first game back for months, so there was always going to be that early rustiness. But he wasn't at fault for the goal, pulled off some good saves and, more importantly, held the ball when he could parry it away, which was my main concern with Bart. I hope to see Gerkin in the starting line-up for the next game too.

Disagree, Nuggets I think Gerks payed his part in the Brentford goal, he carelessly let the ball slip through his fingers for the corner that ultimately led to us never properly regaining control of the ball, 60 seconds later it ended up in the back of our net!

Have to say it's easy to say in hindsight but I wouldn't have dropped Bart, yes he's made some mistakes but he's better than Gerken, put a bit of faith in the lad. There are other more obvious changes that could've been made but bringing in a less talented GK is not one of them. As tractorbhoy said neither really should be our long term number one.

I have to say I wasn't convinced by Gerken today.
The saves he made were routine and I would expect any half decent 'keeper to make those. What I did notice was his hesitancy in decision making. He'd take two steps forward only to retreat again.
    Bart is better all round.
