    Start or no start?
I keep reading he's young and developing but he's the same age as Shelvey and has had a lot of senior football in Sweden (OK no great league but decent enough) so should expect more from him.
Looking at his stats I've just noticed he scored 10 goals in 19 games for Östersunds and he's played for IFK Norrköping!
The last time I was in Norrköping the news of gang shootings killing at least six and wounding other made page 6 of the regional paper and wasn't recorded in the nationals. A city half the size of Swansea has a shocking reputation for violence, gangs warfare and drug distribution -
    good night life though

Definitely in agreement. His experience playing for senior squads in Sweden against experienced, if not great quality, players is worth plenty. Certainly more than playing in a youth development league. That Swedish league must be at least up to League 1 standard.

For me, he should be starting on the right ahead of Dyer. I think with Montero and Barrow's ability to beat the man in front of them, Routledge and Dyer are going to have no choice but to become more direct wingers and starting beating players once again to get back in the side. They both have the ability as we've seen it in previous seasons, but it seems they've got a touch of the Scott Sinclair syndrome at the moment - i.e. receive ball, give it back to the full back.

Dyer drops to the bench. Start the same line-up that started against City but with Barrow instead of Dyer. Might as well torture Palace on both wings. I expect Monk to instruct Barrow to hunt the second ball around Bony when Montero is streaking down the left.

At home we have to start with players who have performed and there is nobody better than dyer and his speed down the wing. shelvey must also start as he can produce the unexpected and has always performed at home which got him an England call up. It will be a big mistake to experiment with players who are not use to playing at the liberty. We must make the liberty a fortress to make teams feel intimidated that they make mistakes.

Shelvey starts? You're having a laugh. We play much better without him.

    Bench

Behind schedule in career due to previous coaching neglect and is currently playing catch up and is fast developing

Personally, I'd let him continue with his development, gradually exposing him to first team football throughout the remainder of the season; which is what seems to be happening anyway.

    Agree re: Dyer,

On form alone Carroll has to start, Shelvey is playing like he doesn't want to be hear.

Jonjo has been useless for the majority of the season. Leon, Carroll, Ki and Gylfi are much better than him.

As for Barrow, he needs to be managed carefully this year. If he can keep improving then next year should be his breakthrough year.

Playing for England means you're playing for a second rate international out fit. But ... he didn't play, he warmed the bench, and made up the numbers for practice.

And was he called up again .... no. His call-up was a make shift / kiss-arse moment between Hodgson and HJ. I'd like to see him be a regular call-up, but frankly he has a lot to do to justify it.

So who exactly is Shelvey 'doing a good job' for Dai ? It's certainly not us, and that IS a fact.

Routs was doing a good job, Nathan was on fire. They didn't get called up. Leon has been outstanding in the PL. Three players who are better than Jonjo and have never had a sniff of a call up. Fact.

Dyer and Routs are our meat and potatoes , time for Montero to rest a game and wait till a late sub to wheel Barrow out
    Fab
Rangel ,Amat , Williams , Taylor
    Dyer , Ki , Britton , Siggy , Routs
    Bony
Good time to give Britton his first start
