It's the sort of game historically we would lose. It is another indicator of where we actually are, we have an almost fully fit squad and we have something approaching a functioning midfield, we have a goal scorer and a quality target man not only with a football brain but can actually hold the ball up and we are looking dangerous when we attack and are creating chances, something that has been missing for quite a while.
The midfield is back to it's used to be and that results in Paterson becoming an incredibly weak passenger (so far) Weimann isn't far behind as well, Bakinson is not playing as well as he has been, mainly because he is trying to do the work of 3 players. We have been sloppy all over the pitch Vyner was sleeping for their goal, Moore's passing is dreadful (so far), Hunt and Rowe are not at the races so far, Wells had a half chance which he should have taken first time (his first touch let him down). Personally I would have Paterson off for Kalas and push Vyner into midfield.
Kalas can come on as direct replacement for Vyner. You're right out midfield 1st half was poor but totally disagree that Vyner would enhance it.
The midfield has woken up. Vyner has played in midfield quite a few times, especially for Aberdeen. We just needed a bit more steel in there, Paterson is still struggling.
Look who has just slipped into midfield? Tinnion confirmed has confirmed that he has played in midfield and that he has seen him play there.
