Some Bookmakers are making John Sheridan one of the favourites for the managers vacancy at Barnsley.

Sheridan has played down the talk.....saying that he has work to do at Argyle......Barnsley are hovering just above the relegation area of Div1.

Sheridan who has never moved down to the West Country has his home in Sheffield and such a move might interest him....giving him a full time home situation.....which must be a draw for him.

Plymouth and Barnsley could swap leagues this season if promotion and relegation panned out for both clubs.......interesting.....watch this space.

Cannot see it Plym as JS would be taking a huge gamble. Football's a funny old game though and half the bloody team may well follow him. Lol.

Better than all that travelling and living in digs.....very tempting for a family man.

I've given up trying to second guess anything in football. Half the Argyle fans seem unhappy he is here anyway and don't seem to see we are progressing even if it isn't necessarily to a promotion. I think there are other managers out there who could do as good a job as Sheridan and probably some who could do it better. There are things I don't much like about his management and have said so previously so maybe I'm in the "don't know" category. Bottom line is if they ask he will probably go and if they don't then he of course won't get sacked for thinking about it. No doubt we will know which way soon enough.

good luck to him what ever he chooses , but I agree a lot would not worry if he went .. I am on the fence with that one, I can't see how he motivated the team some times then we go a step backwards, but now we are going forwards again.. that's the football we love.,, the in expevye
