Barnsley climb continues

Barnsley climb table at our expense, we could drop to 5th by tonight. A good run to Xmas should sort it.

 

They looked good today, going forward anyway!

 

The other 5 of the top 6 all won. Just as well we got last weeks win when they all lost. Maybe as well we were postponed today as knowing us we’d have blown a home game and had the opposite scenario to last week !

 

It's not what other teams do....the most important thing is what we do. So far into this season I think we are doing very well after the Summer we had. When I look at the other teams around us to me there is nothing we can't handle over 46 games. We will be in the top two at the end of the season and that is all I care about. F*ck all the rest...

 

Top of the table clashes will be vital as always.

 

Quite right. A postponed game still has to be won by us . As do all games

Our goalie on Scotland duty we cannot play without him, but how many more of our games will get called off due to the internationals.

 

It is a marathon and not a sprint.. It is where we are in May that counts..

 

Seeing as we usually get much better in the later part of the season the fact we're a stones throw away from promotion places bodes well. That was probably more the case with a squad full of mercenaries playing for a new contract which we don't have now, but we must be one of the squads in the league with the most room for improvement due to how new everyone is so it'll probably be the same routine for a different reason.

 

You do know that we get to play them don’t you? They’re nit just called off with no points going to either side!!

 

The league seems to be splitting top/bottom.
Blackpool are 14th with 16 points and games in hand, there are a lot of teams there or there abouts so plenty to play for.
Christmas will be the next real marker, by then we'll know whose up for the long haul and who are slipping away.
As has been said it's a marathon not a sprint but we're in a really good spot to push on from here.
Onwards and upwards.

 

We should not be too bothered by other teams form and just consentrate on our own. We have a fairly good squad and are in a good position given the state of the team last season.

 

I go along with this 100%, I just posted this to get some reaction over what is a wasted weekend football wise, and as it has worked I might try again.

 

Does it matter? We'll still get to play 46 games like everyone else.

I think this break come at a good time for us with all our injuries.

 

If we get 92 points this season then we will almost certainly get automatic promotion so won't have to worry about what other teams are doing. If we can't get 92 points in this division then we don't have a squad that could compete in the championship.

 

Well that’s fairly obvious. We’ve bought players to get us out of this league. More investment will be needed next season
