The Expensive Weekend So 6000 of us turned up at Barnsley in great expectation....well what an expensive weekend both in terms of points dropped and financially. If you work out that on average each person spent £60/£70 on match ticket, travel and food/drink, we as a tiger nation spent approaching HALF A MILLION POUNDS on that disgraceful performance. (Many spent more than this, me included, and that was just in Leeds before hand). Players if you read this, HALF A MILLION pounds, is it not understandable we get angry and frustrated, a shot at goal would have been nice! Cardiff on Saturday Regardless of what went on yesterday, Cardiff on Saturday is a "one off" "cup final" "play off final" type game. If we win we are up, simples. Everything that has happened in the last three weeks has to be forgotten, we need to UNITE AS A TIGER NATION, get behind the lads for the full 90 minutes, sing our hearts out, forget Watford, just win our game. PLAYERS - You need to be first to every ball, anticipate every second ball, give 100% for the full 90 minutes. COME ON TIGERS FANS, PLAYERS, ONE & ALL, LETS ROOOAAARRR THE TEAM OVER THE FINISHING LINE ON SATURDAY!!!!!!! (No I have not been drinking....yet!)
Who Gives a **** about 'The Expensive Weekend' i was happy to travel all the way to Barnsley to support City, i had a class day out. Now onto Saturday and 3 points UTT
I think more important than all this roaring and singing lark (which was mentioned before the Watford, Bristol and Barnsley games) is not booing, moaning, pissing, grumbling and slagging.
TigerPlard >>>> I had a fantastic day out too....it was just the bit between 15:00 and 16:45 that was ****e, just putting in perspective how much money it costs to do this, from an area with the highest youth unemployment and the lowest wages.....we aren't all on footballers money.
Actually, I think it's time the players showed they had some desire, like Barnsley did yesterday and which we have been sadly lacking.
It did cross my mind how much i spent yesterday on Travel and Match Tickets but at the end of it i had a great day out, im pretty sure its happened a couple of times this season, all that money spent to see an away match and no 3 points and a absolutely dismal Performance.
£16 for match ticket is nothing, £25 for train was a pisstake and they only checked my ticket once when i got on at Paragon Station.
The ticket was twenty quid. what you choose to spend after that is freedom of choice. I hireda limo with champagne and lap dancers. ****ing City cost me 800 quid ****ing ****s.
Barnsley deserve relegation. Clearly out of their depth in the Championship, small town infrastructure ie road unable to cope with the City hordes coming off the M1, station equal to Beverley sized town compared to Hull Paragon, farcical wessie accents, empty seats in all their 3 stands and in an important match for them they pulled less than 10K support, more coppers than miners and pitch invaders, and shameful after goal music to boost atmosphere. I think they'd feel more comfortable in League 1 with Sheff Utd.
Couldn't disagree more. Like posh little club battling against the odds, too near to "big clubs, Leeds n two sheffields. Lastly any hordes coming off the M1 must be thick as ****
They've just had to cancel their Player of the Year dinner due to lack of interest (only about 50 tickets sold) , and they reckon yesterday's atmosphere and performance was their best for years! I wish we could borrow that spirit and commitment for the Cardiff game.
Maybe we should pay 10,000 ah ahly fans to come over and scare the daylights out of the cardiff players with a 200db atmosphere
