This one is a big problem due to bus services in and out of Barnsley. The normal routes via Doncaster and Sheffield are affected with this. Kings Cross to Doncaster, then Doncaster to Barnsley via Meadowhall seems to be the better option, particularly if you want to avoid buses for rail replacement services. There are lots of trains in and out of Doncaster at £14.50 singles, then a £6.60 return Doncaster to Barnsley...............changing at Meadowhall. All prices shown are before railcard discounts. @clb74 may be able to confirm groups of 3 or more can get a 33% discount also.
Yes. We’ve lost 2 very senior & highly respected members this week so please refrain from mentioning breakfasts.
@baraettmattesvensson As Deputy Moderator, please can you advise me if I can travel by train to Barnsley from Leeds? I seem to recall doing so on the occasion of the 6-0 victory. Thank you, Your Boss.
There is a bus service there and back from Leeds to Barnsley, this takes the best part of an hour. The same applies from Wakefield Westgate. However, this only takes 25 minutes AND the London to Leeds train will stop at Wakefield, which is 15 minutes before Leeds.
There are still 625 seats available on the Valley Away coach, it is £23 return from Bromley.... can't be beaten
I’d sooner go on a blind date with Sue Parkes or @baraettmattesvensson than ever get a Charlton coach again.
@baraettmattesvensson Your garbled post is not clear. I don’t want to get a bus from Leeds to Barnsley, I want to get a train. Is that doable? #YouAreDeputyModFFS
**Off Licence watch** Walking from the ground up the hill, on the left hand side there is a corner shop selling booze. You won't have to pay £22 in there Mr ban Gerwen
