Should have minimum yellow for studs up on Iva.

Iva has pen denied too and gets yellow for dissent

what makes me laugh is remembering the fury, and melodrama over costa's "stamp" against liverpool.

the tv crew called him a criminal.

Well here we are with a genuine assault on a player, a tackle that could have destroyed his career-and im yet to see any of the same bile and furore being aimed against that idiot barnes.

the media have a big role to play in ensuring all 20 teams in the league get equitable officiating. and they aen't doing their part.

I guarantee if they set their stall out against atkinson in the same way they did Ivanovic last week when seeking a retrospective ban
he'd be bullied out of the game and it'd do us ALL a favour.

we don't need refs like him in the prem, id rather have a spaniard or frenchman. I dont understand how we tolerate this week in week out.

Oh my goodness. I watched the match I saw replays at the time, I was also online discussing the match as it was on with others also watching the game and while multi-tasking I thought Barnes had wrapped his legs around Matic in a deliberate foul and brought him down. When I saw Matic push him I was disappointed, and said so at the time. As soon as I saw Matic run I knew it would be a red card. I was disappointed because he only shoved him. When I saw Barnes shrug in innocence I wanted Matic to think in for a penny and stamp on his leg at least.

Now though I've seen Matic's shin bow inwards from the atrocious direct contact and intent that was there to severely injure him I would of stamped on Barnes' face. I'm sure he loves his Mother and all, but if I would have been in Matic's place he'd be doing it from a hospital bed awaiting surgery to remove my studs from his eyes. There is nothing Barnes can do or say to make amends for his violence and then feigned ignorance. I will now find it hard to believe anything he says from now on and would advise everyone unlucky enough to meet him to do the same, and before all the finger pointers start jabbing yes I'd say the same if a Chelsea player had done the same. That wasn't football, that wasn't hard but fair, that was cowardly. His sort never hold their hands up and apologise properly. At best he'll say sorry for a mis-timed challenged.

and yes it does make a mockery of Costa's 3 match ban, but then again it was a mockery before this anyway.

We didn't play all that well chaps but we were denied two certain penalties and it just goes to show the agenda the referees have against Chelsea. The red card for Matic was a joke in reality and the referee was perfectly in sight and saw the flying tackle that Barnes made and had he have stopped the play and issued a red card to Barnes Matic would be looking forward to a Wembley final next week.

I glad Barnes wasn't booked as now he can receive a 3 match ban retrospectively but knowing what this FA are like he will probably get away with it. I know retaliation is wrong but I would also like to see the FA lessen his ban to one game once they see the deliberate intention of that animal that tried to hurt Matic.

I suppose the ref can say he saw the foul, played advantage and opps forgot the yellow card in the aftermath. That way Barnes gets a freebie. All for Matic's red card, shame he didn't really make proper use of it.

Indeed and if that happens we will at least know the referee is also complicit in this agenda.

I would bring you one back but as you have eleven out on the pitch it seems pointless. ;)

I'm wading in on Death Threats. Seriously, these people need to take up macramé or baking. To all Death Threat issuers I say to them Ya Mama C'mon if ya want some, lets 'ave it or. I believe that is the type of thing these people would understand.

I'm guessing now the World impression of the archetypal Chelsea fan is a Home Counties/ Londoner bloke , 30's to 50's cropped hair or shaved bald, drives a black cab, or is employed on similar earnings say building trade, gas fitter but comfortably well off, wears jeans, t-shirt and expensive trainers and unless at a wedding, funeral or christening where there is always a booze up and a fight, has some sort of tattoo and piercing (probably nipple, just the one), Is married but changes wife every ten years for her sister, loves his mother, hates his mother-in-law, drinks excessive amounts of lager but likes JD and coke chasers, and I'm bored of this now...............

It was a cnts tackle. Atkinson has been on the decline for years, on yesterdays evidence, he's finished.

Nice ****-stirring stereotyping threads started by you on Rangers board. QPR fans so predictable: loving the Metro incident

You having a go at others for creating "****-stirring" threads <ok>

What's wrong with asking the views of other QPR fans on the QPR page? Like it or not, a more significant minority tarnish Chelsea in that way than just about any other English club.
