The OS will be the first place for official news.

I wouldn't be suprised if he was given that he went off on a stretcher but you may remember Dale Stephens went off on a stretcher a couple of weeks ago and he played on Saturday.
It just goes to show that we should be patient for news <ok>
 
NA on Saints Player confirms that there is not enough left of season for Barney to return, but added that if season extended (i.e. play-offs) he might be involved. That sounds like no major damage then which is good news.

Actually some news from a friend of a friends cat who is ITK for those who prefer rumour off the boards to facts from the OS;

Barnard is "resting" at home, and he is wearing a special protective boot. This one is similar to the one Oxo has, but differs in that if Barny strays more than 50 yards from his house, it calls the Police.

You heard it here first ;)
