Like I mentioned earlier, Ross has same record as Frankie having played in much inferior team.

He needs a continued run to become one of the legends in near future.

Stan will be seething reading this.

I’d like to add the fact that this current Chelsea team doesn’t have a patch on the one Lampard played in. Think about the midfield he was part of: Robben, Duff, Cole, Ballack, Makalele, Essien to name a few. Barkley would have no chance getting into that team. When there’s only 4 spaces or less as we often played a diamond during that time, the fact he was one of the first names on the team sheet says it all.

More troubling is the fact he sees Barkley as the more improved Lampard. <laugh>

This is the problem with arm chair fans who have been watching the game for 5 years.......

Lampard won all you can at club level and scored 20 plus goals from midfield year after year after year, all time record Chelsea club goal scorer, over 100 England caps, and was runner up world player of the year behind only the great Ronaldinho.

Ross Barkleys had a decent week.....<laugh>

We all know there's no comparison here.........As for now the kid is on the up,just hope he can stay fit.

I've always thought he was a very good player and then it all went wrong for him, seems to have come through that now.
No one said he is Lampard already. He is on right track to get there.

Even Lampard cannot setup Morata. Fact

ok now then.. I am rarely (read never) wrong..

left foot 40 yards out?? least 30 yards out into the corner.. Excellent..

Goal & and an assist not bad in this awful team. Lamps would be proud.

Exactly my point. Lamps had all the help in the world.

Barkley has nothing besides him & in front of him except good defensive mids.

More over Judas was playing dead cescy over Ross all of last season.

Lamps had no pressure of playing for Chelsea and had every help.
Ross has all the pressure of playing for Chelsea & little help.

Perspective Lads!!

Another very good game from Barkley, also from Willian, and Morata looked much sharper and more interested. Alonso also played an excellent game.
Barkley certainly upped his performance again to play Sarri Ball as the Manager wants.
When he scores 20 goals per season for 3 seasons in a row, we can compare him to Lampard.
Until then, lets just stop the comparisons and thank Sarri that he finally looks like a player of real quality.
RLC did himself no harm either, he will surely get more game time now he has shown he is well up to our PL 1st squad standards.

Yep, agree with all this CP.

We were in control of the game after 60 mins and is a shame we didn't have CHO on the bench
