Wenger goes shopping for Bargins but seems to find more duds than geniune gems (Park, Chamakh, Denilson, Squillaci, etc) With the 25 man squad rule we need to get rid of some of those players first but there are plenty of quality signings that would cost little in transfer fee and be a huge squad addition (although wages may be the deciding factor) Here are some random examples... 1. Craig Gordon - GK - Sunderland Once a 9M Goalkeeper, had his injury problems but only has 1 year left on his contract and would be a quality #2 2. Chivu - CB - Inter Milan Free transfer, 31 years old...got experience and can also play left back..got a nasty edge we sometimes lack 3. Del Piero - CF - Juventus Free transfer and yes I know he's ancient (37) but clearly better than Chamakh and Park and might be willing to play a bit part player who can add some key cameo performances 4. Junior Hoilett - MF - Blackburn Free transfer and only 21 years old...has several other clubs keen on him but he seems to be more consistent than some of our other wingers and with huge potential might be able to make the step up if he moved to us, plus might be more willing to sit on the bench and fill in where needed We complain about the face we can't compete finacially but our previous success was bought upon getting deals others wouldn't take (Overmars - knee injury, Kanu - heart issues, Veira, Henry, Bergkamp - All underperformed in Italy) Newcastle have shown that with the right scouting you can find excellent players for under 10M (Cisse, Ba, Cabeye, etc)
Kalou, Victor Moses, Bosingwa also available on frees I believe (though for all players <24 compensation is payable)
he's a decent back up right back. although i think coquelin and jenkinson have that position covered if necessary.
We dont need bargains. We have plenty of cash. The issue is we have 34 first team players and our only allowed 25 next season. This means we have to sell/demote at least 9-10 players in order to bring anyone in.
Vela, Arshavin, Squillaci, Park, Chamakh, Diaby, Hoyte, Denilson, Bendtner - there's 9. Lansbury & Bartley might go too. Plus under 21's don't count as part of the squad. Sell sell sell!!!

I woudnt Mind us signing Gordon at all as we have Almunia & Fabianski leaving. Even though hes been injured alot he a really good GK. Maybe a change of scene is what he needs.
