Just been on Sky-Bardo thinks Steve Bruce is a manager who is repected by the players-who are we to disagree with our player of the year.
It makes me feel happier with the managerial situation.

    Ripped from SSN.....

The Black Cats have endured a disappointing end to the season after looking like they may qualify for the Europa League earlier this term.

However, a wretched run of injuries at the club coincided with a poor series of results that saw them tumble down the table.

Yet, despite the poor end to the season, the Sunderland Player of the Year wants the American owner to stay loyal to Bruce.

"The manager has had some stick but he has done a great job," said Bardsley.

"He is the perfect manager. He has bundles of respect for the players and the players respect him for what he has done in the game.

"The last few months have been difficult and have not worked out as we would have wanted or planned, but he has dug in and made sure the players have done the same."

One or two players may have dug in, certainly not all. What does the manger say at the half time team talk? They go in comfortable and come out looking like a shambles.

This suggests to me that even the players are unsure of the managers future?

Did you really expect Bardo to come out and say it like it really is then? As the newly crowned Supporters Player of the Year (totally justified as well), he has been recognised by the Club's PR machine as a fans favourite and thus trotted out to offer some positive words on a manager under some significant pressure.

Its classic spin tactics and looks like its worked on you.

It doesn't read like that to me Cricket. "the Sunderland Player of the Year wants the American owner to stay loyal to Bruce".
