Nice....wide hoops as well. We can then replicate their kit for next season.......oh how I'd love to replicate their players too.
I thought much the same - especially as Nike are sponsors. I suspect that the R&D on this shirt will be hosted for our strip next season. Let's see; and if so, I'll bump this thread in July claiming to be 'in the know' purely as an act of conceited smugness on my part!
They may change back to the stripes pretty fast if the hooped curse affects them. You know the hooped curse, get any player and put a hooped shirt on and their natural ability seems to go AWOL.
Our club make me so cross and Our brand is the hoops … they are clueless at times The world needs to know QPR is in London they are the hoops and everything else should be considered a poor copy They have ****ed up big time with our identity and we have a new stadium hopefully in a new part of London called New Queens Park The foundations of brand should be laid now what a waste of an opportunity they would make millions long term if they act now
Those are horizontal stripes, not hoops. Hoops by definition are circular, and therefore go all the way around the back, which these don't.
Call me a pedant, but I would say that's basically correct. It was actually the late and great Brix who first highlighted to me the subtle but crucial difference between a horizontal stripe and a hoop (I think we were discussing Reading's hoops, or lack thereof at the time). I can't stand our kit this year, and the mandatory hoop-destroying large white backing is probably the thing I hate about it most. However, at least the hoops go all the way around at the bottom, which is more than Barcelona's do.....So we are at least still partially hoopy.
A couple of hoops at the bottom go all the way around on this season's shirt, right? It's not much but it's better than a pure Reading FC look, I guess.
