Here we go again, our bi-annual CL match against Barcelona. Amazing how their number and ours always get drawn together. I know we have to beat Barca to win the Cup anyway, just that I'd rather it was in the final and not on the way there.
Still, that's the way the Mercedes bends, so now we have to get on with it, and our recent record against them stands up very well. They will know this and might be a tad apprehensive. One can only hope.
    Team.
Courtois Must surely be the time and place for him to show Real he is the Real Deal.
Dave Christensen Rudiger No other choices from where I sit.
    Moses & Alonso Ditto.
Kante & ?????? The cupboard is bare thanks to Marina and Emanelo.
    Willian Giroud Hazard Enough said

Conte wouldn't play Hazard as false 9 would he ???
Will Fabregas be alongside Kante, maybe, for 45 mins. Ampadu is a thought, big call ,but the kid is smart and tough and can defend.
Best of luck to whoever gets the call, and hopefully a fair and balanced referee and linesmen with good eyesight.

We need a performance like the one at home but with more luck and error free defending if we are to succeed.

You need them to have an off day and your team to be brilliant.

It was sarcasm mate. That would apply to any English team.

Sure do, but this team has had trouble being brilliant . Barca have had their off moments too, so who knows? Very tough game but a real chance for some of our players to prove their worth.
I'm cautiously on the optimistic side.

Well CP I'm optimistically on the cautious side, so we got all the bases covered. "How can we lose when we're so sincere."

This season it’s a shroedinger’s cat. You have absolutely no idea which team is going to turn up until the match has kicked off.

We could produce another game of brilliance or simply get turned over.

I’m only saying this to myself, but don’t you feel like this season has shades of 2012?

As long as the boys give it their best I’m happy either way. Barca are a super tough ask, maybe the toughest, but we’ve done it before and I hope we can do it again.

    KTBFFH!

Exactly my feeling to be honest.
I am not pinning any expectations on the team, if they go out but put in a good shift, then i will be satisfied, but its certainly winnable if we bring our A Game.
Problem is, like you say, we have been so Bi-Polar this season it is almost impossible to tell whether we will bring our A Game or our Gay Game.

If we had got our deserved victory from the first leg I would fancy us.

    One in four chance now

it's all about still being in the tie come half time then we can perhaps start playing the away goals factor to our favour. Obviously we need to score but a nil nil at half time is not the worst place to be if we can then score 1 or 2 in the second half. I'm thinking of that Highbury tie in 2003. Briiiiiddddgggeeee!!!

Our recent form means I don't remotely fancy us but this is not a great Barca side and Iniesta will either be out or coming back from an injury so we have a small chance. More chance of progressing than United at least ;)

As I said before, I can't see us doing it. As long as we give our best shot I'll be happy. Play a striker please AC.

Agree. If we can get to 1-1 at half time be great.

Tbf, they owe us a thumping and our confidence is v fragile. We probably need to score first.
