Barcelona C.F. have today been told by the Court of Arbitration for Sport (C.A.S.) that their transfer ban will stand. Barcelona will be unable to sign any players in 2015. How ****ing convenient that they were able to in the summer
Worse still Suarez schemed with Barca to make his transfer go through without strife, so be bit the Italian. Also notice how no sooner had Suarez joined Barca then his ban gets reduced so he is allowed to train n ****. But hey ho, football is not corrupt right? Wrong, nepotism is alive and well in every facet of human existence.
As unfair as it seems, I want us to get into a position where we become powerful and have influence. Man United had the likes of David Gill, Arsenal had David Dein for example - key figures with key contacts in FA and UEFA. Not implying they did anything dodgy but having such figures at your club can only help.
So Suarez bit a player in the WC in order to orchestrate his move to Barca, and with their full knowledge and consent? please log in to view this image
Everyone knew the main reason they appees was to get it delayed so they could buy players this summer and stock up.
1 Never said the idiot Bush did anything, 2 Never mentioned Illuminati(first time I have posted that word) and 3, Dave is the Religion guy More importantly.. always use quality troll bait. I use Catchdemol. please log in to view this image
UEFA are just the FA for Europe, certain European clubs will have far more pull than others, bit like the EU really, the smaller member states have **** all say and literally have to go with watever the others decide. In the end, UEFA is not much without the top clubs from the 4 major leagues so they definitely have pull. I was on the wind up with Suarez doing the bite to get out but not on the wind up about the cronyism, Platini acted like a king when his beloved France was in the qualifier draw with portugal Ireland and some other half baked team, Platini changed the rules so France could not possibly face portugal, and even then Henry had to hand ball twice in clear view of the lino to get France through. UEFA are as rotten as FIFA and the FA, it's what makes me laugh about the FA claiming corruption during the bid process, when really, they just got outplayed by the others, this is why they are hated inside FIFA because the FA actually taught the corrutpion game to everyone else when the FA ran the world game, now everyone else is better at it and the FA play the morality card, ****ing laughable
You may be right about all of that (although I believe UEFA are marginally better than FIFA in that they genuinely propose things for the good of the sport even if they can't always practise them e.g. FFP). BUT I honestly expected the Barca ruling to be watered down to just the January transfer window. The fact it also includes the summer is pretty strong and unprecidented iirc. Had they had the ban reduced to just January I would have agreed with you completely.
I have to idlely wonder about the tax implications of this. If Barca simply chuck the cash in an account for 12 months and not spend then will they have to declare a profit and pay tax on money they would have spent off the balance sheet?
Barca's transfer ban They have some squad and an academy that produces quality. The ban is nothing, they did the business they needed to while they appealed, 75m on one player alone, yeah I think they'll manage. FFP is nothing more than retaining the status quo and preventing "outside of the circle" hoards of rich owners from forming an alternate powerbase in European football because it is those very sorts than can buy teams, invest heavily and make said teams amongst the top European clubs, like RA has with Chelsea, if you have the majority of top European clubs being owned by "outside money" it's those clubs that gets UEFA it's payday, so preventing such a takeover needs something like FFP, yeah you can dress it up as saving clubs but that's bollocks, there was a spate of buyouts by rich owners across Europe. What would stop a load of sheiks from buying clubs investing in best players and then starting a new superleague to oppose the CL, with might I add the biggest names as they've gone and signed all of the best players. FFP = UEFA self preservation and the preservation of the status quo of top clubs in the top leagues. #Monopoly

Firstly, I think you underestimate the pressure on Barca. Yes they have an academy but they rely much more on buying players than their youth system. Just look at their current squad and their transfers over the last 10 years. Next consider the strength of Real Madrid and Athletico right now and what if Barcelona fail like they did last season? I can see them looking at players like Xavi, Iniesta, Dani Alves and wanting an instant fix to rebuild in their positions. Remember this isn't just January and Summer 2015, it is very likely they won't be able to bring in quality until summer 2016. That's a fck of a long time. The FFP is also about preventing a Leeds. Clubs spending beyond their means. It may very well preserve the whole of Serie A and some fabulous clubs like AC Milan and Juventus. I think the original purpose of FFP gets lost with all the bullshit about rich arabs. That wasn't the original point, it was about clubs getting into unmanageable debt for short-term success and risking going to the wall. Not every motive is a bad one Sisu.
