Heard from a very good source tonight that any banners containing Anti-Cortese or Pro-Adkins writing will be removed, and the holder will be escorted from the stadium.

Forgive me, but this seems very petty and dictator-ship like from Mr Cortese to me - the orders were direct from the top.

Were you one of the mongs waving a white hanky?

We heard earlier how all the white hand towels had been removed from the toilets... that was bollox too.

You must have been the one shouting: "Get Steve De Ridder on!"

What makes you think you have the right to protest against the directors of the Southampton F.C. on its private property? If you walked into a pub and started slandering its owner, he'd probably have you removed as well.

I'm not saying you have a right, but what's wrong with holding up a banner supporting or thanking Adkins? It's petty.

Is "mong" really an appropriate term in 21st century Britain? Grow up lad.

Yeah a bloke got out his hankie to blow his nose and got chucked out by 2 stewards straight away. They said they were only obeying orders. Well that is what the bloke in the pub told me he had heard. That Cortese must be a really nasty bit of work to give orders like that.

Yeah there were people a few rows in front of me that were told by stewards to put the banners away. Cortese also said no interviews on premises with the fans. Guessing he couldn't handle the negative media.

Saw plenty of banners etc on show, I think they just took down the ones with swearing on them because 1 it was on Sky and 2 not right with kids about.

I saw four people wave hankies. Three of them were little kids. Which was just about what I expected.

Puncheon's song probably counts as infantile - funny as hell though. :emoticon-0102-bigsm

It would appear that most have decided to get on with supporting the players who themselves had no choice in the matter - take a breath and moving on.
Also whilst the filter is off I just want to say Scunthorpe without the x's !
