TV showed nowt, so how did the banners get on yesterday, were they (Bruce/Hobbs) on the ball, were the smaller ones better accepted? Who did we remember in the away end, anything significant?
The Chillo/Wiggo banner looked good in the West Stand. The Bruce/Cobb Morley banners were up in the usual place. I didn't see the others.
The club needs to review banner locations, they clearly havent got a clue. Chillo/Wiggo(sic) pop up all over and they had no idea where to put the RIP Gregory one against Arsenal, didnt see it anywhere against Burnley. Spontaneous ones against Allam are fine in North but you get ejected if held in West. Lose a section of sponsorship and hand it over for flags.
A bloke got ejected for having an Allam Out flag. That's all I know. Surely someone off here must have been in the vicinity to tell us what went on.
I found myself in the centre of N3 yesterday with what I would say are the core Allam out faction. Great bunch of guys and thoroughly enjoyed myself even though I struggled to see what was going on pitch wise when we had a corner (due to being under the flag which I presume had Allam out printed on it). I think my comrades in arms yesterday knew the fan ejected as they were singing his name. What a joke to be ejected for displaying a banner. The lot around me started singing 'that is embarrassing'. I couldn't help but join in. It was. Our club is a shambles run by people who know nowt about the game. The sooner they go the better for them and us.
I could see a lad getting thrown out at the north/west corner, he had a banner in his hand. As we know, plenty of others in the main part of the North stand had them too, and were not bothered by the KC Stadium police state. Clearly, a dissenter near the west is seen as a soft touch. The lads in the north objected to this and gave the stewards a bit of grief, but it wasn't that much. It is true that some of the greyhairs nearby in the west applauded. I think this was construed by the north as support for the ejection, resulting in a bit of west stand baiting. I see that some on here believe it was in fact support for the protester, which it certainly could have been, and I hope it was. I suppose we'll never know... That was it, basically. More interesting than the match at that point.
As good as the in Bruce we trust banner is, it's shelf life may be about to expire. Perhaps getting current managers is a little short sighted in hindsight
Our resident flag and banner experts said anything up to 6 x 4 and non offensive was OK with the club. Unless the club pull out the all encompassing small print and claim affecting other supporters or advertising.
For the dissenters who don't walk away at the end of the season, there will probably be plenty of empty seats to drape the banners over next season.
The guy who carries the white tiger about was trying to put a banner up in the west upper and the steward was having none of it! He could have draped it in between the sponsors name but it was a big no from the high viz man!
