The Chairboys are now off to the North West coast to take on the Shrimps hoping a spot of sea air can blow away the cobwebs that have rapped up the boys as of late. After the lame performance on Saturday more changes will surely be afoot Big Dave and Dunneâs return to the defence a must against the physical Shrimps and in the absence of Deano I do not know who to play up front as Jo Notevenfourallseason is not the answer hope he proves me wrong maybe Joel up front and Bruno on the right not holding out much hope for this one but maybe we could nick a draw if weâre lucky http://www.wycombe.vitalfootball.co.uk/article.asp?a=314503
id give morias a go upfront if it were me, joel has been very anonymous lately so mabe swap him for andrade.... cause another option is to put the ginger pele (doc) upfront so we can actually win it in the air for a change! i think we could get a draw here, gaz will have rollocked them for fridays performance and hopefully they will realise we are not safe yet...
I'm wondering if we'll ever reach 50 points the way we're playing,i hope you're right jose about Ainsworth giving the players a boot up the bum it was well deserved after letting so many people down on Friday.
If they couldn't perform in front of that crowd after all the build up, against what seemed to be a pretty poor side, then I'm afraid we are on a slippery slope. It seems to me some players are not giving 100%.(eg Grant should have ripped their defence to shreds). We should not be handing 3 points to teams below us and my confidence in the team's revival has taken a severe knock. We certainly are not safe yet. Bristol Rovers are much safer than us now.
my worry is the threat of admin and the deduction of points could cost us dearly ,so we need a few more wins and with kuffour up front that's not looking likely.
Administration would definitely mean Non League football now. We aren't looking like a team on the verge of a good run I'm afraid Rocky.
not that id defends the performance, but there wasent a lot of atmosphere so it could have just been a normal weekend! i hope we do well today and inspire a lot of fans down to oxford next weekend, we could do with a good away following for those in beds, herts and bucks, 3CR is doing live match commentry today on 98FM
I don't think it is effort with Joel these days as he does work a lot harder. I think he genuinely looks short of confidence. Against Accrington he never seemed to want to take on the full back, which is unlike him and especially against a left back who panicked every time the ball went near him. I actually thinking that sticking the Doc up front would be a good idea as we do seem to be a bit direct again at the moment, which is pointless with McClure, Morgan or Kuffour up front. We have enough strength at the back in Hause, Johnson or Dunne to cover at centre back.
BBC 3CR letting us down (again), player not working for me but looking at the BBC stats good first half!
For once I have had no problems with Player! How strange!! Sounds promising in terms of possession, though I do wonder sometimes how biased the commentary is sometimes! My concern is our apparent lack of ability to create chances again. That was our biggest problem against Accrington, we never looked like scoring.
