Hopefully this means we will get no responses from the whippersnappers on here. We're talking THE decade for Music and Fashion.

Forget all this bollocks about who were the best etc, just who did you really like?

The Undertones, The Buzzcocks, Thin Lizzy, Magazine, XTC, Ravey Davey Bowie, ELO, Be Bop Deluxe, Abba, The Clash, the list is endless, unless we get to the end of the list that is.

Definitely not The Jam or The Police though - they were utter mince.

The Who were far better than The Jam Rags as well, original mods not that fudstick Weller who thinks the sun shines out his arse. Miserable pretentious arrogant **** with twee songs bordering on the banal.

Oh and dont get me started on The **** Council.

The Eagles, obviously. America's number one band. In this country, Led Zeppelin, when they weren't singing ****e about elves.

OK, I 100% agree with everything written there. It's rather concerning to say the least.

Weller started of by ripping off The Who then moved onto ripping off Traffic for his solo career.

I will go for The Talking Heads

Although more associated with the 60s, The Who, for me, are one of the greatest groups of all time.

I liked The Jam AND The Police Toiler, so I'd better mince off :(
