In all seriousness, this is a **** song and not particularly funny. But it is a remnant of the terrace culture that is being stripped from the Premier League - a fact I find ironic, given that it is that very terrace culture which once made the English game appealing to the Sky audience in the first place.

I used to take my son to football was he was 9. When the more 'lively' chants started up, I used to ironically put my hands over his ears, at which point he would shrug my arms off, and say "dad, what do you think I hear in school every day?"

As for women, you should hear the gob on the one sat two rows behind me at St Marys.

Exactly. The only thing that should be asked of a questionable chant is, "is it funny or not"? If it is, sod it, let it go, have a laugh. If it isn't it'll soon die out.

There are exceptions, obviously. Blatant racism, sexism or homophobia should not be tolerated - unless it is really ****ing funny
