A while ago the supermods asked for a new rule across the whole site meaning that whenever any mod requests a ban for another poster, we have to post it not only on the moderator board for them to see, but also publicly on the relevant forum so that everyone concerned knows who requested the ban and why. This is to save the supermods getting unecessary grief for carrying out what others have asked them to do. It's more of a problem on other boards I believe, where people get banned quite regularly. So anyway they've asked everyone to make a sticky thread for this. Here is this thread. The fact we haven't had to make the thread yet is a reflection on how rarely we ban posters. However the time has finally come, so here is the thread. The thread is closed because it's only for mods to explain why we're banning people. If anyone has any questions or disagrees then you're welcome to PM any or all of us.
So yeah, I'm requesting a ban for Tubby Tastic for various reasons: I've had multiple requests for him to be banned today. His arguing is completely circular and surely designed just to annoy. He's had a warning an hour or two ago and continued with his irritating and inflammatory style whilst trying desperately to squeeze in as many moans about my moderating him as possible. Instead of listening to the warning he just went off on a load of rants making threads about bans and other crap. I deleted them so most won't have noticed. He's also admitted publicly that he is only here to wum. Forgot to add. The last two accounts to be banned from the City board were both also Tubby Tastic under different guises a few months back. He was never unbanned but created new accounts and came back eventually.
